Registration and Confirmation
Each participant will need to undergo a separate registration process. Upon receipt of registration invoice or confirmation, registration is considered official and effectual.
Invoices
All fees are due upon receipt of the registration invoice or confirmation form. Transfer payments must include the name of the participant and the invoice number, otherwise they will not be accepted.
Cancellations, Changes, Refunds
A fee of EUR 50,00 EUR will be charged in case of cancellation of participation before August 9th, 2024. Cancellation must be done in written form. After this deadline, the conference fee must be paid in full. Refunds are excluded.
Claimes for damages are excluded if the course of the conference or parts of it are hampered or made impossible through unforseen political or economic circumstances or through natural phenomena beyond control.
Force Majeure, Disclaimer
The PBM 2024 organizing comittee is responsible for all changes to individual parts of the event. Claims for damages are excluded if the staging of the event or individual components are hampered or prevented by unexpected political or economic events or generally by force majeure
or by the cancellation of speakers or if similar changes are required.
Limitation of Liability
Any liability for services and possible problems with the services lies exclusively with the provider of services. Participation in all events of the social programme is exclusively at one's own risk. The PBM 2024 organizing comittee assumes
no liability for death or injury to body or health, provided there has not been negligence or an intentional breach of duties by the event organiser, its legal representatives, or vicarious agents. In the event of any other damage, the liability of the PBM 2024 organizing comittee,
its legal representatives and its vicarious agents is limited to deliberate and gross negligent conduct, provided that no essential contractual obligations have been breached.

We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) DSGVO. You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.
We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.

Within the scope of registration, booking of sponsoring and exhibition packages or ordering of social programs or hotel rooms, various personal data are collected.

Registration for our congress / booking of a sponsorship or exhibition package:
We use the data entered during registration only for the purpose of organizing the respective congress for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full.
Otherwise, registration for the event will not be possible.
For further information about the congress or follow-up events of the responsible person, we use the e-mail address provided during registration to provide information in this way.
The processing of the data entered during registration is based on one of the following, such as your consent, to protect the legitimate interest of the controller, for the performance of a contract,
for the performance of pre-contractual measures, as well as for the fulfillment of a legal obligation imposed by law.
Collection and use of your data:
Your personal data is collected by you providing it to us. This is data that you provide as part of the registration process or as part of your booking. Depending on the scope of the booking, the amount of data may vary.
The legal basis for the collection and use is Art. 6(1)(b), DSGVO.
Reason and type of data collection:
Registration for the event and/or further congress-related events such as courses, industry symposia, supporting program. Ordering of sponsorship items, exhibition space and services. Booking of hotel rooms.
Type of personal data:
Name, first name, contact data such as postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, company data. Payment data depending on the payment method you choose e.g. bank or credit card data.
Purpose:
Binding conclusion of a contract within the scope of the above-mentioned events and booking options or fulfillment of pre-contractual measures. Registration without the required data is not possible.
Marketing for related congresses and other events that witago carries out on behalf of third parties:
Type of personal data:
Name, first name, contact details including e-mail address.
Purpose:
Informing existing customers about further congresses and congress formats as well as interested parties who have given their consent.

The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Disclosure of data to third parties:
Should it be necessary to pass on data to third parties in the course of organizing the congress, we reserve the right to do so. Third parties in this case are, for example, hotels or other vicarious agents such as
printers, shipping service providers, payment providers, etc. Your data will only be forwarded if this is necessary for processing. Only the data that is necessary for this step will be forwarded.
Only data records relevant to the transaction will be forwarded. If subcontracting relationships are concluded with service providers in the process, they will be obliged to comply with all applicable data protection
regulations by means of separate order processing agreements and will be reviewed in detail in this regard.
Your rights regarding your data:
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data at any time. You also have a right to demand the correction, blocking or deletion of this data as well as a

Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Right to information:
Data subjects have the right to be informed at any time whether and for what purpose the controller is processing personal data. If the controller processes personal data of the data subject, the controller shall inform the
data subject about the personal data concerned, the origin of the data and the purpose for which the data is processed. Further information obligations of the controller at the request of the data subject, arise from
Art. 15 of the EU-DSGVO.
Right to erasure:
Data subjects have the right to request the deletion of their data from the data controller. If one of the reasons from Art. 17 EU-DSGVO applies, the controller is obliged to delete personal data of the data subject without

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format.
If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible party, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
Deletion of data and storage period:
Personal data will be stored by us for as long as is necessary to fulfill the stated purpose. In addition, it may be that the legislator requires us to store data or data records relating to our accounting.
The data will then be irrevocably deleted after the expiry of the periods specified by the legislator.
If the processing of personal data is based on the data subject's consent, we will process the data until the data subject revokes this consent.
If the processing is based on a legitimate interest of the controller, the data will be deleted as soon as there is no longer a legitimate interest or the data subject has objected to further processing.
